Well Read Books is a small, family-owned indie bookstore located in the heart of downtown Elk River, MN. We offer a carefully curated selection of both new and used books for all ages. We strive to offer not only a selection of relevant books but an open and inviting community space.
Owned by long-time Minnesota residents, Sarah and Devin Russel, Well Read Books opened its doors in April of 2024. Having lived in Elk River for quite a few years, Sarah had always longed for a little local bookstore in the downtown area. When planning her return to work after staying home with her young children, she decided to make the leap and open the store herself.
